Twelve fools start on a journey ...... cross a river count themselves ...... each forgetting to count himself ...... only eleven ...... a passer - by was asked to count ...... counts twelve ...... they disagree ...... passer - by gives each a blow ...... counts twelve.

Twelve Fools
Twelve fools lived in a village. They were friends. They decided ti go out and earn money. So they started on a journey. After travelling some distance they came to a river. There was no boat so they has to swim across the river. When they reached the other bank of the river, one of them said, "Let us count ourselves and see that we are twelve." Each of them said, "Let us count ourselves and see that we are twelve." Each of them counted and counted eleven because he forgot to count himself. of them were very sad to lose one of their friends. They started weeping. In the meantime a passer - became there and asked them why they were weeping. They told him the reason. The passer-by counted them and found that they were twelve. He told them that they wee twelve and not eleven. But the fools did not belive him. The passer - by was a wise man. He said to them, "I shall count you again. I shall give each of you a blow on the back and call out the number. If the last number is twelve, you should believe that you are twelve." The fools agreed. The passer-by gave each of them a hard blow one by one and counted twelve. The fools were satisfied and thanked the passer-by.
Moral - Fools deserve punishment.
